Vision

At a time of still growing pollution and inequality, we rise up to make a better world a reality. Together, social entrepreneurs of today and tomorrow are realizing radical system improvement. We are leading industry, politics and society toward a new economy where the focus is not shareholder value, but social value: the impact economy. Without waste. Without poverty. Without exclusion. Together we create a better world: with everyone, for everyone.
Mission
Together, we realize radical system improvement.
What do we do?
Social Enterprise NL is the national network for social enterprises, enterprises whose primary goal is to create social added value (impact). These include labor participation, environmental solutions and poverty alleviation. These enterprises can become members of Social Enterprise NL, where they are part of a network of more than 450 inspiring members. As a network, we support social enterprises in their growth and professionalization by organizing master classes and programs in a variety of areas.
Social Enterprise NL is also committed to improving the position of social enterprises in society by lobbying governments, both local and national, and capital providers so that they too will recognize the value of social entrepreneurship more and more social impact can be made.
Furthermore, Social Enterprise NL is active on several sub-projects that have a particular purpose within social entrepreneurship. The following projects relevant to the mission are ongoing in 2024:
Organisation structure
Social Enterprise NL was founded by Mark Hillen and Willemijn Verloop. Leonie Bank and Stefan Panhuijsen form the board and management since 2024, working with an energetic team towards a better world.
