During the Social Enterprise Government Congress 2025, a meaningful conversation took place between State Secretary of Social Affairs and Employment Jurgen Nobel and three social entrepreneurs: Hilal Makhoukhi (CurrentWerkt), Esther Smit (Remake Society) and Jasper Kool (Social Capital). This meeting marks an important step in the movement to give social entrepreneurs a structural place at the decision table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the conversation, entrepreneurs shared their practical experiences and solutions for an inclusive labor market. Things grew more concrete - including the duration of job coaching. Great to see: the ministry showed immediate willingness to actively pursue this and a follow-up meeting between officials from the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment (SZW) and entrepreneurs is scheduled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sociaal ondernemers zijn onmisbaar zijn bij beleidsvorming. Ze signaleren knelpunten en brengen werkbare oplossingen in, vaak vanuit jarenlange ervaring in het veld. Zoals duidelijk wordt uit de publicatie Perspective of the Pioneer<\/a>, policy is shaped too much by vested interests and it is crucial that sustainable innovators come to the decision table. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conversation with State Secretary Nobel is a great step in this. On towards more social entrepreneurs at the decision table!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
